유엔해양법협약 제63조(2개국 이상 연안국의 배타적경제수역에 걸쳐 출현하거나배타적경제수역과 그 바깥의 인접수역에 걸쳐출현하는 어족)
이 조문은 유엔해양법협약(UNCLOS) 제5부 배타적 경제수역에 속합니다. 대한민국은 1996년 1월 29일 UNCLOS를 비준했습니다.
1. 동일어족이나 이와 연관된 어종의 어족이 2개국 이상 연안국의 배타적경제수역에 걸쳐 출현하는 경우, 이러한 연안국들은, 이 부의 다른 규정을 침해하지 아니하고, 직접 또는 적절한 소지역기구나 지역기구를 통하여 이러한 어족의 보존과 개발을 조정하고 보장하는 데 필요한 조치에 합의하도록 노력한다.
2. 동일어족 또는 이와 연관된 어종의 어족이 배타적경제수역과 그 바깥의 인접수역에 걸쳐 출현하는 경우, 연안국과 인접수역에서 이러한 어족을 어획하는 국가는 직접 또는 적절한 소지역기구나 지역기구를 통하여 인접수역에서 이러한 어족의 보존에 필요한 조치에 합의하도록 노력한다.
1. Where the same stock or stocks of associated species occur within the exclusive economic zones of two or more coastal States, these States shall seek, either directly or through appropriate subregional or regional organizations, to agree upon the measures necessary to coordinate and ensure the conservation and development of such stocks without prejudice to the other provisions of this Part.
2. Where the same stock or stocks of associated species occur both within the exclusive economic zone and in an area beyond and adjacent to the zone, the coastal State and the States fishing for such stocks in the adjacent area shall seek, either directly or through appropriate subregional or regional organizations, to agree upon the measures necessary for the conservation of these stocks in the adjacent area.
