유엔해양법협약 제279조(평화적 수단에 의한 분쟁해결의무)

당사국은 이 협약의 해석이나 적용에 관한 당사국간의 모든 분쟁을 국제연합헌장 제2조 제3항의 규정에 따라 평화적 수단에 의하여 해결하여야 하고, 이를 위하여 헌장 제33조 제1항에 제시된 수단에 의한 해결을 추구한다.

States Parties shall settle any dispute between them concerning the interpretation or application of this Convention by peaceful means in accordance with Article 2, paragraph 3, of the Charter of the United Nations and, to this end, shall seek a solution by the means indicated in Article 33, paragraph 1, of the Charter.
