유엔해양법협약 제286조(이 절에 따른 절차의 적용)

이 협약의 해석이나 적용에 관한 분쟁이 제1절에 따른 방법으로 해결이 이루어지지 아니하는 경우, 제3절에 따를 것을 조건으로, 어느 한 분쟁당사자의 요청이 있으면 이 절에 의하여 관할권을 가지는 재판소에 회부된다.

Subject to section 3, any dispute concerning the interpretation or application of this Convention shall, where no settlement has been reached by recourse to section 1, be submitted at the request of any party to the dispute to the court or tribunal having jurisdiction under this section.
